op5 Licensing Model

We believe in no fuss licensing

We have never liked unclear program licenses, hidden or sudden costs. That’s why we use a straight forward and easy to understand "per-host" licensing model. This simply means we charge based on the number of hosts. A host is defined as an IP address, for example a server, firewall, printer, router etc.

Four answers that's all you need to calculate a complete solution.

1. What's Your problem? - i.e what product are you interested in, op5 Monitor, op5 LogServer or op5 Statistics
2. How many hosts / IP addresses would you like to start with?
3. Do you want appliance based i.e. server and application together or just download the application on your own server hardware?
4. Pay an traditional upfront license fee or a subscription based price on 0, 24 or 36 months agreement?

That's it - answering these four questions gives you the exact price for an op5 solution. That's what we call no fuzz.

How are your solutions priced?

The licenses we offer are available from one single host up to several hundreds of hosts. Please note that we do not calculate or consider what or how many services you wish to monitor on a particular host, or if there are multiple processors, special applications etc. Our policy is easy: One host = One price!

Can you offer something flexible and easy to budget?

Unpredictable growth is a major challenge for modern IT environments. Our license model fully supports a "pay as you grow" scenario with no start-up fees or other "hidden" costs. It is a great advantage to be able to easily calculate the cost of your NMS.

With op5 you can add more hosts at any time without having to prolong your original agreement. The subscription model can be added to or altered during the time of the agreement, which can substantially reduce your overall expenses.

What product license alternatives do I have?

As true believers in flexibility, we have created two different ways to obtain a product license. We simply feel that it’s up to you.

1. Purchase
Buy a traditional up front license. This option requires a one year mandatory service, support and maintenance fee that will be invoiced upon delivery for 12 months.

2. Subscription
Pay per month, all inclusive no additional service, support and maintenance. This option is available in 0, 24 or 36 months agreements.
0 months mean that you have zero time contract commitment, you subscribe on a month by month basis and you may terminate or change to a fixed contract at any time - 100% flexibility.
